That’s not a slogan somebody made up for a banner. It’s the reason the games are built the way they are.
Community, because a party where the same four kids run everything isn’t a party for the other eight. Confidence, because the shy kid taking the mic in hour two is the best thing that happens all afternoon. Champions, because every kid should get one moment today where a room full of people is cheering for them.
Most kids DJs play a playlist and hope.
Here’s the difference, plainly.
A DJ shows up with speakers, puts on songs kids like, and waits to see what happens. Sometimes it works. Usually it works for about forty minutes and then the room drifts.
What happens here is a show. Games with actual scores. Teams with names. A currency the kids earn all afternoon and cash at a prize table. A finale. Somebody on the mic the whole time whose job is reading the room and deciding what comes next.
Nearly twenty years of doing this at weddings, galas and conferences, now pointed at the hardest audience there is.
Whether it’s a one man team or a two man team, there’s a program built for the age group, the crowd and the room. Every event gets planned properly before anyone shows up, because that’s what makes it work. Plenty of the time the DJ side of it is secondary. What carries the afternoon is the interaction.

Plenty of boys parties have girls at them, and the other way round. It just changes the balance of activities. Tell me the mix and I plan for it. All boys, all girls or somewhere in between, there’s a plan for it either way.

Five to eight minutes each, then switch. Long enough to get good at it, short enough that nobody drifts. Shy kids get up. Boys and girls play together. Everybody leaves having done something.

Split the room red against blue and let them go at it. One team takes the win, and both teams still walk away with something.

How much does a kids party DJ cost in Vancouver?
Packages start at $800 and go up depending on run time, effects and how much you want handled. Send your date and you’ll get a real number, not a range.
How long is a typical party?
Two to three hours is standard, with dancing and games woven together so the energy never drops. Longer run times are available.
Do you bring your own sound and lighting?
Yes. Sound, lighting, microphones, games, props and effects. All that’s needed from you is power and space.
What ages do you work with?
All ages, and the format changes a lot across that range. Toddlers get the Baby Rave. Six to eleven gets the full competitive format. Twelve and up shifts toward DJ, karaoke and dance.
How far do you travel?
All of Metro Vancouver and the Lower Mainland. Beyond that is quoted with travel.
